When the clinical picture isn't clear

Complex cases don't always come with a clear answer.

You may be dealing with multiple reports or opinions, unclear functional barriers, stalled rehabilitation, inconsistent presentations or uncertainty about what support is actually required.

Complexity to Clarity provides senior occupational and clinical consultancy to help make sense of these situations.

Miranda brings together the available evidence, functional information, occupational perspective and broader rehabilitation context to identify what is clear, what remains uncertain and what may need to happen next.

When might you need Complexity to Clarity?

    Multiple reports or opinions

You need help understanding where the evidence aligns, conflicts or leaves important questions unanswered.

    Unclear functional barriers

The available information doesn't clearly explain what is affecting occupational performance, participation or capacity.

    Stalled rehabilitation

Progress has plateaued and the reasons—or the appropriate next step—aren't clear.

    Complex or inconsistent presentations

The functional picture is multifaceted, inconsistent or difficult to interpret.

    Why Work With Miranda?

Miranda Bruyn is a Occupational Therapist and Clinical Leader with more than 30 years of experience across occupational therapy, disability, rehabilitation, workplace health, insurance, government and community services.

Her career has provided exposure to a broad range of complex environments, including functional assessment, rehabilitation, disability, injury management, vocational participation, psychosocial disability, neurodivergence, cognitive considerations and multidisciplinary practice.

This breadth gives Miranda the ability to look beyond one profession, one service or one system.

She understands that meaningful change rarely happens in isolation. Clinical decisions, service models, organisational priorities, funding environments, workforce capability and the needs of individuals and communities are often interconnected.

Miranda brings an objective, balanced and practical perspective to this work. She is comfortable sitting with complexity, asking difficult questions, testing assumptions and exploring possibilities without rushing towards a predetermined answer.

Her advisory approach is grounded in experience — not theory alone.

Whether you are considering a new direction, working through a complex decision, developing a service, navigating multiple systems, Miranda brings senior clinical reasoning to situations where the answer isn't immediately clear. Her role is to bring together the functional picture, available evidence, competing perspectives and broader rehabilitation context to help organisations understand what is happening, what remains uncertain and what should happen next.
